Students are coached in theory, logic and argument. The focus will be on the structure, research, analysis and style of Team Policy and Lincoln Douglas Value Debate. Our objective is to train….While we look at NCFCA tournaments as a part of the process used to develop our students and refine their skills, the tournaments are not the end goal. We feel that the skills learned will help students to be"ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear" 1 Peter 3:15.
Meetings will include teaching time, small group exercises and practice time with parent coaches.

Team Policy Debate
NCFCA 2018-19 Team Policy Resolution
Resolved: The United States should substantially reform its foreign policy regarding international terrorism.
Team Policy debate involves 2 two-student teams debating for or against this year's resolution. Debate research and homework could take 6 to 10 hours per week at the competitive level.
Team Policy Evidence Ring – Each year generates many different cases to research and prepare against. Being a part of a club is a benefit, allowing students to pool their efforts. The Club 19:14 evidence ring is available for members that are participating in our club meetings and competing under the club. Cases and briefs will be assigned to teams throughout the season. The prepared briefs will be shared among the teams who contribute to the effort. Sharing the work load strengthens and equips our debate teams while providing an atmosphere of serving and encouraging one another.
Partnerships –All team policy students are required to partner with students in Club 19:14. The Team Policy Coach works diligently to match partners for the competition season. Partnerships outside of the club are not encouraged unless there is an odd number of team members. All partnerships must be approved by the Team Policy Coach.
